First
Thank you for taking the time and
considering donating!
It is very much appreciated! Not only do your donations enable us to be in Greece
long-term, but also allows us, as a family, to impact and serve those who are serving inside camp every day. We do
not ever want to take advantage of people's donations and support (money or
prayers).
Second
Let me explain myself and the need for $75,000.
We
get it... this is possibly more than you personally make. And... those living on the mission field are supposed to
be living in mud huts; huddled around a single light bulb, NOT having a salary of $75k. :) Visas are difficult to
obtain in Greece. The only feasible visa for us, as a family, is called a Digital Nomad Visa. At the very core,
the stipulations are that:
1 - I need to be hired with a USA based company and prove that I can work
remotely
2 - The Greek government has set a minimum wage, so we don't 'sponge' off the Greek
economy
Third
How it works and sharing the
details.
Obviously, we don't need 75k to live in Greece, but because the government has set a
minimum salary, I have been hired by i58 Global (the organization that we are serving under). i58 Global then pays
me a salary.
We, then pay all expenses from our account - from fuel, to house rent, to furlough flights, to
income tax. Any extra funds (approx. $1300/month) at the end of the month, are returned and used for 'Area of
Greatest Need' within i58 Global.
Fourth
A few notes.
-All
donations will be channeled to i58 Global, (a 501(c)3 nonprofit). All donors receive a charitable tax receipt from
i58 Global.
-We are very happy to discuss any further questions regarding our salary and budget.
